A Smart Planet Sustainable Supplier is socially responsible individual or organization that provide products or services that support the Smart Planet Mission.
Suppliers can have their products or services listed on Smart Planet Marketplace. Qualified individuals and organizations receive a Smart Planet Sustainable Supplier Certificate which can be renewed annually.
PROCEDURE FOR AFFILIATION
To be included in the Smart Planet Marketplace an authorized officer of the supplier organization must submit stating their interest and their commitment to support the Smart Planet Mission, as well as comply with the following:
1. Product / Service Description
The individuals or organizations must provide documentation that describes the product or service along with three letters of recommendations from past customers.
2. Compliance with Management System Standards
The supplier must attest to complying with the requirements of the latest versions of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and have a current Business Continuity Plan based on ISO 22300. Third-Party Certificates from SPA recognized Certification Bodies would also be acceptable. If the supplier is not certified to the referenced standards, they can alternatively complete the self-assessment modules found on the Smart Planet Marketplace and must achieve a score of at least 80% in each of the four assessments.
3. Compliance with KYC Protocols
In applying for affiliation, the supplier must submit documentation demonstrating that they are a legal entity in good legal standing. Furthermore, in order to protect the integrity of our platform, Smart Planet employs Know Your Client (KYC) protocols is to prevent the organization from being used, intentionally or unintentionally, by criminal elements for money laundering. For all potential sponsors Smart Planet employs the following KYC procedure:
Request complete identification information of the person or organization providing the funding.
Conduct Simple Due Diligence to verify the documentation that includes sponsor name and address.
Conduct ongoing monitoring of the sponsors’ activities to ensure that they are not in conflict with the Smart Planet Mission.
Upon completing the due diligence review, the application will be notified by email of the outcome. If the affiliation request is approved, then the application would be notified and and instructed on how to proceed with the affiliation process.
Smart Planet shall maintain records of its KYC information for inspection by pertinent authorities.

Sustainable Supplier Certificate
To be issued the Sustainable Supplier Ceritificate, the organization must:
1. Complete the required asssessments
2. Have a have passed the due diligence check
3. Pay the required fee
Once steps 1 and 2 are completed, the organization will be issued an Authorization Code which can be used to order the certificate.
Organizations that order a certificate without a valid approval code will be not be issued the certificate until all requirements are satisfied.
There will be no refunds.
